NYLO & TJ Wine Winner!

We started our COOL weather weekend by catching some Backyardigans on the patio!

Saturday afternoon we took Channing to her Grammie & Papa Scott's House for the evening and we headed to meet friends at Sfuzzi in Las Colinas and then headed to Nylo for the night.

It was a GREAT Travelzoo deal and we had so much fun!

So BOTH Chandler and I ordered the 'make your own' mimosa bar and the waiter neglected to tell us that one was enough for probably 4 people so needless to say we had enough to share with Tami & Bryson and some leftover!

The only pic of Tami & I Saturday night...
I do not know why I am so slumped down... oh well

Yesterday afternoon it was cool out and rained off and on all day so Channing played a little bit in it.
She didnt take a nap yesterday so there were some 'tired' crying moments and then a nod off or two before I took her to the store with me... She did GREAT there!!

Since it was raining I didn't want to run outside and I would rather not run on the treadmill so I opted for the elliptical! Wow I forgot how good the hill workout is... That is what I did most of my pregnancy because running wasn't very comfortable.

New neutral and sparkle polish for the week... or a few days depending if it all chips off or not!

Channing and Bentley cuddling this morning... It was REALLY cute!

A Few Of My Favorite Things...

A Few Of My Favorite Things

A few people have asked me what I use daily for my make-up... well, here it is... most of it anyhow!
I absolutely love trying new makeup things but I do not have a huge budget for it plus I would much rather spend money on clothes and shoes. But, it is VERY important to me to look presentable every day. And E.L.F. is one of my FAVE brands to use. First of all it is inexpensive and second of all very good quality. I have loved everything that I have tried. You can find a pretty good selection in store at Target but you can also order online here or at Soap.com and other online retailers like that!

I think Maybelline Volume'express 'the MEGA PLUSH' my FAVE mascara of all time so far

Seriously  if you are looking for a new mascara for a GREAT price try it!

I also use Jane Iredale brushes... I LOVE them.
They were a gift a few years ago from my mom.

I wash my face with Obagi Foaming Gel

Right now I am using this shampoo and conditioner

Emollience is my all time FAVE moisturizer for my face

Spornette Round brushes are my brush of choice
The 'Smooth Operator' is my all time FAVE!

OH and I almost forgot the Makeup Mist & Set by E.L.F

My new fave go to purse gloss!
You can buy it here...

I think that might be it for this post! I hope you have found some new things you might want to try and for all of you inquiring minds.... this is what I love to use!

XO

The Adventures Of Channing Layne

We went in to check on Channing last night before we went to bed and walked in her room to find this.

She never made a peep so I have no idea what really happened but it was too funny not to take a picture.

I moved her back into her bed and she talked a little bit in her sleep but I have no idea what she was saying.
She slept soundly for the rest of the night whew!

#OOTD

I am trying to make these posts interesting. YES I do have a FAB camera but finding someone to take model-esque pictures of me every day is HARD!  The hubster leaves VERY early for work and I am still usually working on my hair and I am usually still in my PJs and that wouldn't make a great #OOTD post believe me! I don't even really know if anyone other than my family cares to see me outfits every day haha. But, it is fun! I did download a picture taking timer on my iPhone and I had some fun playing with it in my office today! Enjoy hahahaha!

Oh what? I'm busy working.

Now I am lounging in the front office.... hoping nobody gets off of the elevator!

GIVEAWAY...TJ WINE STYLE

OK so a Trader Joe's just opened in Plano TX. Very close to where I live and I could not wait to make my first trip there this last Sunday! It was so fun and I did find some amazing things! Cilantro dressing... Great produce... and some great frozen things that will be great for fast and healthy sides during the week! The BEST thing I bought was a case of TJ's 'Two Buck Chuck'... which technically is $3 buck chuck now ($2.99) My friend had gone the Friday before and tried ALL the wines and told me which ones she preferred. I bought 5 Merlot, 1 Shiraz, 5 Pinot Grigio and 1 Sav Blanc. We have only tried the Merlot so far and I have to say it was pretty good! Their wine comes from the Charles Shaw winery in CA! I found this article online... check it out:

Charles Shaw wine, also known as "Two-Buck Chuck," is beloved by budget-minded wine drinkers. Though a bottle sells for a paltry $1.99, many feel the wine tastes, well, pretty darn good. So why is it so inexpensive?
Apparently others have wondered the same thing. The urban legend experts at Snopes.com address the many theories. One is that airlines had to dump their stock of Charles Shaw after they could no longer use corkscrews on flights. Not true. Another possible explanation: "Charles Shaw himself, engaged in a bitter divorce struggle," sought to reduce his winery's value by "flooding the market with cheap wine." Makes for a good story, but also not true.
Alas, the real reason is far less interesting -- there are too many wines in the world and not enough demand. Additionally, despite Charles Shaw's prestigious Napa label, the wine is "almost certainly made from cheaper grapes from California's Central Valley," helping to keep Chuck's costs down.
And in case you're wondering, there really was a Charles Shaw. He started his winery in 1974 and later sold it to Bronco Wine Company, a conglomerate. Bronco revived the Charles Shaw label in 2002. People have been enjoying the "drinkable" wine ever since ... hopefully in moderation.

NOW COMES THE GIVEAWAY!

I am sending one of my lucky readers a bottle of wine... White or Red it is your choice... I know I know... not a BIG money giveaway but who doesn't like wine?
