Sock Monkey Picture 2 Months! See How Much I Have Grown!

Our little girl (or not so little) has grown SO much in the last few weeks. Her little personality is starting to shine through! We are getting smiles and 'coos' and this morning she laughed in her sleep, it was the cutest thing EVER!

She has almost surpassed her sock monkey in size which seems totally unbelievable to us. She is starting to sleep anywhere from 5 to 7 hours a night and we are loving life and feeling much more rested these days! She is a big eater and I joke that she never misses a meal. Channing is also looking more and more like her daddy these days. She is a GREAT baby and we couldn't feel more blessed.

8 Week Dr Appointment

Channing had her 8 week appointment yesterday and checked out wonderfully! She weighs 10lbs 1oz and measured 21.5 inches long! She is a growing girl for sure. She is a GREAT eater and has put on quite a bit of 'chubb' in the last few weeks and we LOVE it!

The doctor said she looked perfect, his words not mine! :) She did get two shots and one oral vaccination. She screamed as they gave her the shots but as soon as I picked her up she calmed down right away and did great for the rest of the day. That part of the appointment was harder on me than her I am guessing. She slept a lot yesterday and then slept 6 hours last night. Those shots just wore her out.

While we were waiting to be called back at the doctors office I noticed a 'brand new' baby and commented how sweet and tiny she was and the momma said thank you and I asked how much she weighed when she was born and she said 6lbs 8oz and that was bigger than Channing when she was born and I could not believe how small she looked compared to Channing now. Oh, how FAST they grow! I really can see it now.

I will take her monkey picture later today and try to post it tonight! It is crazy to see how much she has grown!

Friday Night Fun!

Tonight we are going out with our friends Daniella and Carlos to eat sushi at Sushi Axiom and then we are going to play at Top Golf! Channing is going to spend time with Breen and Pop and we will pick her up after the festivities! We are excited for a fun date night tonight!

New Car Seat Cover!

Today one of my friends Christina gave me this car seat cover to use for Channing because it matches her diaper bag exactly! Christina is actually one of Chandler's aunts neighbors and she has become a fast friend to me lately! She even had me as her guest today at her MOPS group. I had a great time and we are even going to the Ft Worth Zoo with her family on Wednesday. I am so thankful for the new friendships God is putting in my life! Is it summer yet?!

We let Channing try on her first bathing suit the other day to make sure it fit for our upcoming trip to Abilene to visit Tami and Bryson and the pool at their country club and also for lake season and maybe some fishing with Pop at Cedar Creek.

Four Generations!

A few weekends ago we got together with some of Chandler's side of the family and his Grandmother got to meet Channing for the first time. Channing is her first great granddaughter and it was so wonderful and special to spend that time together! We were able to take some pictures of the four generations there that day; Chandler, Scott (his dad), Grandmother and Channing. Channing will be able to look back on these pictures and learn how special they are!

Bath Time Fun!

These are from a few weeks ago, but Channing has started to LOVE bath time! She could sit in there all day and has started to kick her legs and 'Coo' a little bit when she is in the warm water! The only thing she doesn't like is when we take her out of the bath. It must be too cold!
