6 Month Sock Monkey Pictures!

Channing Layne turned 6 months old on Friday September 24Th, 2010! As you can tell by the picture below; she is the happiest, sweetest, most precious baby girl in the world. We can't believe 6 months have already passed. She is growing by leaps and bounds and is trying SO HARD to crawl!

Official Doctor Appointment Stats

Date: 9.23.10
Height: 26 in (50%)
Weight: 16.4 lbs(52%)
Head: 42.1/4 (50%)

Three shots and one oral vaccine. She is doing better this morning but those three shots really took a lot out of her yesterday. Until her daddy made her laugh... SEE BELOW!

After Three Shots Only Dad Can Make Her Laugh

6 Month Dr Appointment!

Our Channing Layne will be 6 months old tomorrow. Today we took her in for her 6 month appointment and she did great. She did have to get 3 shots and one oral vaccine and cried for just a few minutes. She loves her daddy and as soon as he picked her up she seemed a lot better! I will put all of the official stats up this evening when I have the sheet in front of me but I will tell you that she weighed 16.4lbs and got a great report!! The doctor told us after her evaluation, 'she will be an early walker... I can tell' ; we shall see. We are so happy with our perfect angel and feel so blessed God chose us to be her parents. There is nothing better in this world for sure! Stay tuned for the official stats and the Sock Monkey picture tomorrow!!!

Some things she is doing at 6 months

-Sitting up on her own
-Trying to crawl... not there yet but trying
-Gets frustrated when she can't be mobile ie: crawl etc to get to where she wants to be
-Great eater
-Loves baths
-Loves runs with Mom and Dad
-'Talks' up a storm
-Saying 'mama' in her mumbles
-Learned to throw little fits when she wants something or when I take something away she likes
-Sitting in the carts at stores
-Sitting in her high chair
-Rolling rolling rolling
-Sleeps like a champ (knock on wood)
-Loves the dogs
-Smiles all the time
-Laughing and is ticklish
-Got through her first cold
-Putting EVERYTHING in her mouth
-Trying hard to hold her own bottle (sippy cup soon)

Scarf Swap!!!

Top Two FAVE Hair Products!

1. Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff TIGI: I love to use this on the ends of my hair after blow drying OR straightening it. It works wonders and I love the way it smells. I have never been a huge fan of TIGI but I love this product

2. Moroccan Oil: It is at the top of my list for my fave products! This stuff is amazing. It helps smooth and protect my hair when blow drying and also leaves it silky smooth. I also use their shine spray and it is awesome too. especially if you use the flat iron. I think I am going to try more of their products soon!

Weekend Preview Post

This weekend we traveled to Abilene and then on to Anson for a little farm getaway! We went to our friend Tami's aunt's farm and spent the whole weekend relaxing. The boys went hunting for dove and the girls went to some antique shops and relaxed at the farm house for the weekend! We did lots of eating and visiting! It was so much fun and we are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Mr. Ty Austin Galloway very soon. The next time we see Bryson and Tami they will be a family of three! So much fun!

I am so excited for the weekend I am eating my shoe!

Sleepy Head

Channing has been a little more fussy at night and yesterday had an overall fussy day. I felt so bad for her because she cried the whole was home after I picked her up. We are really thinking she has some teeth about to come in because she is displaying a lot of classic symptoms. She slept SO good last night and this is how I found her when I went to wake her up this morning. TOO CUTE! Of course she smiled and then rolled over to her belly and looked up at me like, 'OK, I am ready to get up now'! She is our pride and joy!!

P.S. Take a look at the bald spot forming in the back of her head. Although, she still doesn't sleep on her back a lot of the time she has started sleeping on her back some and I suppose that little spot is because of her sleeping on her back a little. It is cute nonetheless.

Great Friends!

This is an older picture... I no longer have short or brown hair, but I wanted to give a shout out to some girlfriends! I received an e-mail from Zappos yesterday saying they sent me a gift certificate for my birthday! We didn't get to spend it together in July and they sent me this awesome surprise yesterday! I was so excited and can't wait to see what I am going to get with it. It is already burning a hole in my pocket!!! LOVE YOU GIRLS! SO BEYOND!!

Top 2 Tuesday!!

Top 2 things you want to accomplish before the end of the year

1. FINISH Channing's baby book before the end of the year... preferably within the next month! I am doing her baby book on Shutterfly and I am doing it from the beginning of my pregnancy through her birth. Then I am going to do one for every year. I HAVE to finish her baby one soon so I can get started on the first year!!!

2. I would LOVE to run the White Rock Half Marathon this year. I should just go ahead and sign up to motivate myself. I love to run and have started being able to run outside again since the 100 degree days are dwindling. I ran the full marathon in 2008 and LOVED it. I felt such accomplishment. Channing even went on my run with me yesterday and it went better than I expected for me. I did not get as tired as I thought I would and really enjoyed it.
